Why Your Bathroom Needs More Than Just a Heater
Most people think of infrared lamps in the bathroom as a way to keep from shivering when you step out of the shower. But we looked at them differently. We wanted to build something that doesn’t just warm you up, but actually keeps your bathroom healthy.
The battle against mold
Here is the thing about mold: it loves damp, still air. It’s the perfect breeding ground. Standard heaters just warm the air, which is fine, but it doesn’t really solve the moisture problem. We use short-wave infrared instead. This energy doesn’t just float around; it hits your walls and ceilings directly. It warms up the tiles and the grout themselves. When your walls stay warm, water can’t settle on them. No condensation means no feast for mold spores. It’s a simple bit of physics that dries out the room without you having to blast an exhaust fan for an hour.
Keeping things safe (The IP44 stuff)
Water and electricity are a nightmare pairing. We aren’t taking any chances here. That’s why our units are IP44 rated. In plain English? The housing is sealed tight. It keeps out dust and handles water splashes from any angle. You can mount these in your ceiling and breathe easy knowing that steam isn’t going to sneak in and short out your circuits.
A few things to keep in mind
These lamps pack a punch. Because they create so much heat in a concentrated spot, a tiny bathroom can get hot—fast. You’ll want to pick a wattage that fits your room size so you don’t turn your shower into a sauna. And while we build these to survive the toughest humidity, they aren’t magic. Give your seals a quick check every few years. If a seal goes bad, the reflectors inside can rust, and you’ll lose that cozy heat. Keep the housing clean, and it’ll keep working perfectly.
