It’s a frustrating balancing act. That’s exactly why we built our replacement lamps. We wanted to fix that gap where the heat just doesn’t reach the core.
Getting deep into the plastic
Most standard lamps just blast the surface. It’s too much energy on the skin and not enough inside. We tweaked the spectral output so the infrared waves actually sink deeper into the PET. The result? The wall thickness heats up evenly. No more guessing. You get a stable blow-up and, more importantly, you stop seeing those annoying thin-wall defects that kill your yield.
No headaches with installation
These are simple drop-in replacements. We didn’t want you spending your weekend rewiring an oven, so we matched the OEM footprint and electrical specs exactly. Whether you’re dealing with R7s or SK15 connectors, they just fit. We also used high-grade quartz glass because, let’s be honest, thermal shock is a killer in these machines. If you need faster cycle times, our high-wattage tubes give you the heat density to make it happen. Just a heads-up: if you go for the higher-wattage specs, double-check your power supply. You don’t want to be the person who trips the breakers mid-shift.
Keeping things running
Production environments are brutal, especially when you’re running 24/7. To stop the filaments from burning out too fast, we use a halogen cycle. It keeps the lamps alive longer so you aren’t swapping them out every few weeks. But here’s the thing: more penetration power means a hotter oven. If you’re pushing for maximum heat, your cooling blowers need to be spotless. If your airflow is clogged, that extra heat will just warp your preforms. Also, take a minute to polish your reflectors. There’s no point in having a powerful lamp if the energy is just bouncing off the oven walls instead of hitting the plastic.
